In the past, a real estate office location was an anchor and could even be restrictive in selling real estate effectively. But with the advent of the Internet, that is no longer the case - at all. As a matter of fact, office location should be the least important consideration when selecting your real estate representative. What should be important is, do you like and trust your real estate agent?
That being said, my office is in Madison Heights, MI which is perfectly located for the areas that I serve; and because of the internet, I'm able to offer my services to more people. I have even listed a property in Fowlerville and had it sold in less than a week for full price, in a depressed market! That's what I mean when I say, the Internet has changed things!
My purpose for being is to serve the public with their real estate plans. I truly am client oriented and my goal is to assist others with their real estate needs.
Below are the different ways that I can help.
Sellers need all of the information possible to make an intelligent decision. Upon meeting, we discuss the anatomy of the sale, the process of marketing the property and the anticipated results. I do the research to show them what comparable properties have sold for, explain the market conditions and trends and how they can be affected by them. I then make suggestions of how they can better present their property, ie; de-cluttering, issues that a buyer may notice - that the sellers may have overlooked, meant to get to, or have forgotten about.
I’m very protective of my clientele and recognize them as the boss. I give them the facts, along with my views, and they tell me what to do. By doing all of this, my sellers understand the what, and the why. They are informed and understand what the obstacles are and why we are and should do certain things. Which usually results in them receiving the highest dollar possible, in the shortest amount of time, with the least amount of inconvenience to them. Because they are informed!
Also, with each of our office listings, at the time the property is listed, I order a preliminary title search. This is especially helpfully in detecting any unknown title issues and resolving them, before entering any transactions – and is free to my clientele.

Many times when I come across my buyers, they either; have been working with another agent and are very frustrated and discouraged (because they have seen numerous properties, written several offers and keep missing out), or, they are freshly starting out and not sure what is expected – or how to proceed.
Either way, I meet with them explaining the process and what will be expected of them in order to have a seller accept their offer – or even to consider it seriously.
We discuss what they have been through so far, the types of financing, their goals, what they are looking for and what they have done to be ready to move forward. If they haven’t been pre-approved for financing yet, we get them started.
Once they are ready to have their offers accepted, I connect them directly to the MLS (multiple listing service) through a portal to my MLS account. Allowing them to receive notifications of new listings, matching their criteria, the moment the listing enters the market.
By doing this, they are getting the most reliable information, from the same source that I get my information, and they are getting it at the same time that every MLS member (Realtors®) gets it. In other words, we Realtors® can’t get the information any faster.
This puts my buyers in the position of being one of the first, if not THE first, to view the properties. Which of course increases the likelihood of viewing the property, making and having an accepted offer – before others are even aware of it.
Having received my real estate license in 1978, I recognize that in order to successfully represent my clients – just having years of experience in real estate sales is not enough to offer!
That being said, I do offer skills which only come with years of experience, combined with the insights of maturity, along with the strong communication skills necessary to negotiate a favorable real estate transaction for my clients.
But beyond all of that, it’s having good real estate instincts. Having that “gut feeling” of what a property is worth – even before researching it. Knowing what it will take to create interest in a property, and intuitively anticipate the next move of the other party in the transaction.
