I usually go by the name Larry, but we have 2 Larry’s in our office. The other Larry owns the company, so I promote myself using Lawrence - to hopefully make the distinction for new clientele who are calling the office for the first time. Of course, using my last name is also helpful.
Now that I have explained that, let’s get started!
I am a Madison Heights, MI resident, born in Detroit and raised in the local area from the age of 3 1/2 years old. Growing up, I attended the Lamphere school district for my entire primary education. After graduation from Lamphere High School, I attended Wayne State University and later, Michigan Technological University.
Here's a little fun fact regarding my primary education; I attended Lamphere Elementary. But you won't find it in the school district. Around the time that I was in 5th grade (about 1965) the name was changed to Fredrick W. Hiller, later (in it's current location) becoming known as Hiller Elementary. Prior to that, Hiller was located on the Northeastern corner of 13 Mile and John R. (about where Sam's Club is), in the first modern 2 story building in the district - which housed the former Lamphere Elementary; built in 1928.
My current hobbies and interest are varied and include playing keyboard and guitar, building and repairing computers, administrating web sites, and of course spending time with my family.
I am a licensed Realtor® and enjoy working with folks and helping them move forward with their real estate plans. I am Mshda trained, a HUD recognized agent and CIN certified - carrying a Commercial Specialist designation.
Having received my real estate license in 1978, I recognize that in order to successfully represent my clients, just having years of experience in real estate sales is not enough to offer! That being said, I do offer skills which only comes with years of experience, combined with the insights of maturity, along with the strong communication skills necessary to negotiate a favorable transaction for my clients. Being client orientated, has earned me a reputation of being dedicated to achieving results and providing exceptional service.
But beyond all of that, it’s having good real estate instincts. Having that “gut feeling” of what a property is worth – even before researching it. Knowing what it will take to create interest in a property; and intuitively anticipate the next move of the other party in negotiating the transaction.
If you are in the market to buy or sell a home, I will put my years of expertise to work for you!
